Untitled, Acrylic on Paper
This piece was influenced by chinese pottery. I incorporated warm colors to convey a peaceful mood.

Face, Tissue Paper on Cardboard
This was an experimental work. It was the first time I ever worked with tissue paper. I wanted to create the shape of face to show how individuals can get "lost" within society when trying to
conform.
.
Portrait of a Chinese Women, Acrylic on Canvas
This was one of my first paintings for my Chinese theme. I wanted to accentuate traditional Chinese characteristics while also incorporating colored shadows to the portrait to a make it more interesting.

The Eye, Watercolor on Paper
I blended the colors in an organic, flowing way to show how evil can be deceptive. The eye is very meaningful within the Chinese culture.
.
When Worlds Collide, Linolium Print
This is the first piece in which I juxtaposed my interpretations of unity and isolation. The plain linear cut outs show isolation while the curved lines show unity.

Unity, Mixed Media (water color, acrylic paint, marker)
This piece culminates my entire portfolio of work as I incorporated Chinese influence and my overall theme of unity and isolation into the work.
